Plum Blossoms at 三溪園 (Sankei-en)

I've had my DSLR since October last year but I never had the time to learn how to use it well. They say it's a waste to own a DSLR if you don't shoot in manual mode (ouch!). I started reading about shooting in manual mode and thought I should go out to practice. I went Sankei-en garden because I heard it has beautiful plum blossoms (and because a thought I won't be able to see the cherry blossoms).

The garden was big; it will probably take an hour to walk around the whole place. There were a lot of people; most of them were taking photos like me, some were just enjoying a good walk around.

The place was impressive. I sat on the benches and enjoyed this beautiful view.

There was a monkey show and I stopped by to watch it. Clever animal. He impressed everyone who gathered around to watch him.

Plum blossoms! I couldn't stop myself from taking photos despite the freezing temperature.

I had a great time practicing in Sankeien. After this, I headed to Sakuragichou.
